The Volvo Penta D13 power generation engine is an in-line 6-cylinder, 12.8-liter genset engine with electronic high-pressure fuel injection, overhead camshaft, turbo, and air-cooled exhaust manifold.

Volvo Penta’s D13 power generation engine is built for maximum uptime and efficiency. This engine provides a very powerful performance because of its rigid cylinder block and durable crankshaft bearings, air-cooled exhaust manifold, and electronic wastegate turbo.

The D13 power generation engine is equipped with an Engine Management System (EMS), an electronically controlled processing system that optimizes engine performance. It also includes advanced facilities for diagnostics and fault tracing.
