The Volvo Penta D13 industrial engine is an off-road, in-line 6-cylinder, 12.8-liter diesel engine. It features electronic high-pressure fuel injection, overhead camshaft, and turbo.

To maintain a controlled working temperature in cylinders and combustion chambers, the off-road engine is equipped with piston cooling. The D13 industrial engine is also fitted with replaceable cylinder liners and valve seats/guides to ensure maximum durability and service life.

Emissions & Noise
The state-of-the-art, high-tech injection and highly efficient charge air system with low internal losses contribute to excellent combustion and low fuel consumption. An electronically controlled viscous fan drive is available, giving substantially lower fuel consumption and noise levels.
