Volvo Penta D8-IPS is an optimized package, powered by the in-line 6-cylinder D8, a 7.7-liter, common-rail diesel with a twin-entry turbo and supercharger for enhanced low rpm response. The D8-IPS is available in 600, 650, and 700 versions for Commercial applications, and 700 and 800 versions for leisure. Working together with an optimized IPS15 pod, twin counter-rotating propellers, and the Electronic Vessel Control system, this package provides you with enhanced maneuverability, extended action range, and reduced emissions.

The engine and pod system is designed for reduced noise and an enhanced onboard environment. A combined rubber suspension and seal help absorb propulsion forces and vibrations, and all exhaust fumes are emitted through the pods and into the prop wash to enhance comfort.

Electronic Vessel Control
Volvo Penta Electronic Vessel Control easily connects the engine, electronics, and a range of optional features such as Joystick Docking, Dynamic Positioning System, and Glass Cockpit. e-Key is standard, and the system also includes built-in redundancy to provide a backup system.
