The interceptors used in our system are made from corrosion-free materials and require virtually no maintenance. The composite material does not cause any galvanic corrosion and does not require protective anodes that have to be replaced.

Smooth, controlled turns
A boat with the Volvo Penta Interceptor System in the optional Auto mode quickly moves up on the plane, remaining stable and more upright in sharp turns compared to a boat with a traditional trim system. This means improved visibility ahead, excellent visibility in sharp turns, and enhanced onboard control.

Our interceptor system – on your terms
The precise manual control function can be extended with three optional, fully automatic modes. Auto Trim and List provides automatic correction of the boat’s trim and list, optimizing performance in a variety of conditions. Auto Trim, List and Coordinated Turn adjust the list in turn based on a predetermined value, specific to each boat model.

Active ride control
The third, fully automatic mode is Active Ride Control. By utilizing the interceptors, this system effectively diminishes pitch and roll motion at cruising speeds, keeping you steady at sea.
Active Ride Control consists of:
- A digital controller with adaptive control algorithms
- A sensor package (3D rate of turn and ship accelerations measured with GPS, gyro, and accelerometers)
This mode is applicable for boats ranging from 35 feet to over 100 feet, operating from semi-displacing to planing speeds.
