Onboard bi-directional charger
Designed by the Volvo Group, our bi-directional charger inverter serves dual roles in off-highway electrification. It converts AC mains into up to 43kW charging power and functioning as an autonomous inverter during vehicle operation.

Transmission
The 2-speed gearbox optimizes your motor's efficiency in various off-highway electrification applications. Developed and manufactured by Volvo, this gearbox features independent power channels.

ACU

Active Cooling Unit (ACU)
For off-highway electrification, our ACU efficiently regulates the temperature in battery packs and Motor Drive Systems (MDS) using dual cooling circuits. Powered by a 24V system and controlled by the HPCU via a front signal interface, it manages heat.

DC/DC
The DC/DC converter is designed to efficiently convert a direct current between traction voltage 660VDC and 24VDC. Volvo Penta’s system also supports the combination of up to two units, providing a maximum of 15kW power.

Off-highway electrification applications
