Volvo Penta welcomes Peter Granqvist as new member to the Volvo Penta Executive Group. Peter will take up the position as Senior Vice President, Product Development, Planning and Purchasing, replacing Johan Inden (former Carlsson). Peter is joining Volvo Penta from DENSO Corporation where he currently is the President and Managing Director for Sweden. Peter will start on September 1st.
Peter has a solid foundation in higher education and practice in the areas of industrial engineering as well as in business management. He brings a career from Japanese Automotive global supplier DENSO Corporation where he has led big multinational and complex engineering programs as well as multinational businesses, both in Sweden but also in Japan.
Johan Inden will take up the role as President Region Europe, replacing Stefan Carlsson. Johan has had the position as Senior Vice President Product Development, Planning and Purchasing during the last four years. Before that he was the President of Volvo Group Venture Capital. His career at Volvo started in 2000 and he has had positions at Volvo IT, Volvo Technology Transfer and Wireless Car.
Stefan Carlsson will continue to support the Volvo Penta executive team as Senior Advisor combined with a maintained role as Head of Segment Marine Diesel & Commercial. As from January 1, 2019 the segment head for Marine Diesel & Commercial will be transferred to Johan Inden.
