Our Volvo Penta D16 MG IMO III is an in-line 6-cylinder, 16.1-liter direct-injected engine developed for installations in heavy-duty commercial displacement crafts. It meets and exceeds the requirements of the latest IMO Tier III emission regulations. The D16 MH/MG IMO Tier III marine engine package is designed to sustain high backpressure while delivering strong power, efficiency, and reduced fuel consumption. The SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) exhaust aftertreatment system is designed for an optimal fit. The SCR unit, which also functions as a silencer, reduces noise by 35-40 dBA. The engine features a durable block with ladder frame, high-pressure unit injector system, 4 valves per cylinder, twin parallel turbocharger with wastegate, and charge air cooler.
