Volvo Penta D13 IMO III is an in-line 6-cylinder, 12.8-liter diesel engine featuring a high-pressure unit injector system, overhead camshaft, and a twin-entry turbo with a water-cooled exhaust manifold. This design contributes to improved fuel efficiency, optimized operating economy, and reduced emissions. It’s designed to handle high back pressure and high-sulfur fuel. The SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) exhaust aftertreatment system is designed for an optimal fit. The SCR unit, which also functions as a silencer, reduces noise by 35-40 dBA. This engine meets IMO III exhaust emission standards, while maintaining consistent fuel consumption. Thanks to the SCR system, the engine power output remains unchanged.
