IPS Professional Platform
Volvo Penta’s Inboard Performance System (IPS) has redefined the marine experience for nearly two decades, with over 36,000 units delivered. Offering unparalleled manoeuvrability and forward-facing propulsion, it can boost efficiency with up to 40% longer cruising range, 20% higher top speed, and quicker acceleration compared to traditional inboard shaft installations, depending on operating conditions. Now, the new Volvo Penta IPS professional platform builds upon this legacy, enhancing innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.

Starting series production in 2025 – the IPS professional platform is all about pushing boundaries, delivering high comfort, excellent performance, and enhanced sustainability for the next generation of commercial vessels.
