It focuses on marine processes and principles to support learners in installing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing marine engines and systems. The course spans four years, covering both foundation and advanced levels.

Unit 209 – Servicing and Maintenance of Marine Engines and Ancillary Systems

Level 3:

Unit 351 – Safe and Effective Working in the Marine Industry
Unit 352 – Principles of Marine Construction and Components
Unit 353 – Installation and Repair of Vessel Services
Unit 354 – Installation, Fault Diagnosis and Repair of Marine Engines
Unit 355 – Installation and Repair of Marine Propulsion Systems
Based at Bournemouth & Poole College, the fully equipped workshops allow you to work on the latest Volvo Penta Marine engines, drivelines and propulsion systems, with the most up to date equipment and tools.
