New controls for easy boating

Volvo Penta is introducing a new series of electronic controls with an integrated push-button panel for easy control of different functions. Ergonomic styling with a comfortable palm rest, indicator lamps and robust design are other features.

Facing the driver is the push-button panel. Here the driver can easily select the cruise control, single-lever mode, low-speed mode, power trim assistant, tow mode and throttle only. With multiple helm stations, the “control station” can be activated as well as locked, so that it’s not possible to activate another station by mistake.

With Aquamatic there is a drive trim button on the lever (port in twin) to control single or twin drives.

Palm rest
The top-mounted control is designed so the hand rests naturally on top of the control head. This gives easy access to the buttons on the back of the control head: fine tuning of speed while in cruise control and (for twin Aquamatic) individual starboard and port trim buttons.

The range
The new controls are for all Volvo Penta propulsion systems: IPS, Aquamatic and inboard shaft. There are twin and single top-mounted plus single side-mounted (Aquamatic only).
